About the Leaders of Tomorrow® Leadership Summit

High school students from across the country traveled to participate in the 2017 National Black MBA Association® Leaders of Tomorrow® Leadership Summit®. The summit which was held in Chicago, IL June 21 – 25, 2017, included the 16th Annual National Business Case Competition where students competed for a combined total of $30K in scholarship awards.


The highlight of the LOT® Leadership Summit was the annual National Business Case Competition which is designed to help participants develop real-world critical thinking and problem-solving skills by addressing a business case study. Teams of participants worked together to present their case on Fitbit to a panel of esteemed judge representing sponsored companies.


The LOT® National Business Case Competition grand prize winner of the $15,000 scholarship was awarded to the Central Florida LOT® Chapter, with Houston LOT® Chapter in second place winning a $10,000 scholarship and St. Louis LOT® Chapter in third place winning a $5,000 scholarship. Participating students represented over 20 cities, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Louisville, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham and Washington, DC where they are all active participants in the Leader of Tomorrow® programs operated by NBMBAA’s local chapters.
