The National Black MBA Association®


Established in 1970, the National Black MBA Association® is dedicated to developing partnerships that result in the creation of intellectual and economic wealth in the Black community. In partnership with more than 300 top business organizations and universities, the association offers access into a wide range of industries within the public and private sectors. NBMBAA® serves to provide innovative programs to stimulate intellectual and economic growth, build partnerships with key stakeholders who help facilitate this growth, and increase awareness and facilitate access to graduate management education programs and career opportunities in leadership fields.The NBMBAA® Graduate Scholarship Program awards tuition assistance to students who demonstrate academic excellence, exceptional leadership potential, and are actively involved in their local communities through service to others.


Undergraduate or Graduate


Up to $5,000


In order to be considered for the NBMBAA® Undergraduate or Graduate Scholarships, you must first complete the NBMBAA® scholarship application below. Only applicants that are being considered will receive follow up from the scholarship committee.

  • Be a financially active member of the National Black MBA Association®.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.
  • Be a graduate student enrolled full-time in an accredited graduate business degree program at the time of award (September of each year).
  • Submit essay on provided topic.
  • Submit a current resume.
  • Have a 3.0 or above GPA.
  • Demonstrate academic excellence.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership potential.
  • Be actively involved in their local communities through service to others.
