Montel Brown is a Sr. Finance Director supporting the procurement function at DFA whose career journey reflects continuous growth, adaptability, and the value of strong foundations. Prior to joining Dean Foods and Dairy Farmers of America, Montel built broad finance experience across aerospace/defense, insurance, and financial services organizations, including roles at Raytheon, where he supported FP&A, operations finance, earned value management, budgeting, and executive reporting for large, complex programs.
Earlier in his career, he gained hands-on accounting compliance experience, strengthening his understanding of financial controls, reporting accuracy, and process discipline. At Dean Foods and DFA, Montel expanded that foundation by partnering across procurement, operations, and finance to support large-scale savings and productivity initiatives while building scalable analytics and reporting tools.
Beyond his professional work, Montel is passionate about mentorship, representation, and investing in people, and a fun personal fact is that he’s a proud dad who enjoys coaching basketball and mentoring youth, bringing leadership beyond the workplace.
