NBMBAA® Milwaukee Chapter

MILWAUKEE CHAPTER HISTORY

Cecily Keys-Kelly, Milwaukee Chapter President

My commitment is to ensure that the Milwaukee Chapter of National Black MBA Association® (NBMBAA) is the premier organization in Milwaukee and surrounding region in Wisconsin. Our focus is on the four “P’s”; People, Partnerships, Programs and Profitability not just throughout Greater Milwaukee, but as a hallmark of our national organization. People – the standard bearer of higher education, entrepreneurship and professional career development. Partnerships – corporate partner ambassadors, Programs – Leaders of Tomorrow® (LOT) success and Profitability – solvency and responsibility to our members.
The Milwaukee Chapter of the NBMBAA® was established in 1992. Its current membership body is comprised of graduate business degree holders, current graduate students and entrepreneurs, who have distinguished themselves in the business arena. Nearly 85% of the chapter members have an MBA.
The Chapter’s mission mirrors that of its parent organization – to lead in the creation of educational, career and entrepreneur opportunities resulting in economic development for our members and community. The Chapter executes this mission via the activities of eight standing committees including Governance, Marketing, Membership, Professional Development, Operations, Social/Event, Strategic Partnership and Technology.
The Milwaukee Chapter of the NBMBAA® has over a 100 current financial members, in disciplines such as Accountants, Engineers, Information Technology (IT), Legal, Logistics, Human Resources (HR), Program/Project Managers and Supplier Diversity in multiple industries in Milwaukee and surrounding areas. The Milwaukee Chapter continues to build intellectual and economic wealth for the Greater Milwaukee community.
