NBMBAA® Memphis Chapter

MEMPHIS CHAPTER HISTORY

Robin Wilson Tucker, Memphis Chapter President

The Memphis chapter was established in 1993 with only 36 charter members. In the last 20 years it has grown significantly to a membership of over 100 members, that consist of professionals from all industries and career levels. The Memphis Chapter of the NBMBAA® has been a pillar in the Memphis African American community. We work to present the Memphis professional with programming focused around our 5 pillars; education, career, entrepreneurship, leadership and lifestyle. It is our goal to move the chapter forward with the same drive and momentum as initiated over 20 years ago. We are dedicated to providing our members and community partners with programs and events that empower us collectively but motivate us individually.
The Memphis chapter’s goal is to provide local professionals opportunities for development, training, career growth, and an overall personal growth. Our 5 cornerstones provide a strong foundation for programming, enhancing the whole professional from the classroom to boardroom.
The Chapter’s objectives are to:
Help attract, develop and retain members of the highest integrity in the Memphis Community
Develop African American business leaders and managers
Maintain strong ties within the corporate community
Provide continuing executive and professional development business education and programming
