LOS ANGELES CHAPTER HISTORY

Linda DeYampert, Los Angeles Chapter President

Linda DeYampert is the Senior Manager, Scheduling Operations for the National Football League Network (NFL). She is the first African-American woman to hold a position in management for the NFL Network; one of the fastest growing cable networks in the country. Her responsibilities include management of the production facility, scheduling personnel and staffing of over 200 freelance employees on a day-to-day basis for all studio operations and some remote production.
Linda’s passion is working and getting involved in her community. She is a motivational speaker for “Career Day” in the inner-city schools in Los Angeles. Currently, she is an Adjunct Professor for the University of Phoenix, School of Business where she teaches Management and Human Resource Management courses.
Linda is an active member of the NBMBAA® (National Black MBA Association®) and served as the Membership Chairperson for two terms. Currently, she is serving her second term as Vice President of Administration of the National Black MBA Association®. She is an active member of WISE (Women in Sports and Events), NFL Women’s Interactive Network and volunteers with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. Linda holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Dominquez Hills and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. Linda is a native of Los Angeles. She is the proud mother of one daughter, Shannon and one grandson.
The Los Angeles Chapter of the National Black MBA Association® was incorporated in 1979. It is one of the six original chapters in the National Organization. Currently we are one of the largest chapters in the country with nearly 1,000 Members. Our history in the organization is rich, including that we are the only chapter to host the NBMBAA® National Conference five times (1980, 1990, 1999, 2005, 2010). We hold 501(3)c Non-Profit status.
