Charlotte Chapter History
The primary goals of the Charlotte Chapter are:
- To establish and maintain an effective information and communications network, which will serve the membership and the business community;
- To serve as a conduit between business enhancement resources and individuals;
- To disseminate current information affecting minorities who operate in the business environment;
- To provide professional education in business related areas in the form of seminars, classes, group discussions and pertinent publications;

The NBMBAA® Charlotte Chapter was established in 1995 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Incorporated in 1995, the chapter consists of over 200 African-American professionals with graduate degrees in a variety of disciplines including marketing, finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, law, and management.
The Chapter’s vision is promoting intellectual and economic wealth within the Mecklenburg County community.
