Julius Robinson is Chief Operations Officer for Full-Service MxM Marriott International hotels in the U.S. West, serving as a strategic business partner to the Group President, U.S. & Canada. He oversees 160+ Premium and Luxury hotels across 12 iconic travel brands, including the Gaylord Hotels portfolio.
With three decades of hospitality experience, Mr. Robinson began his Marriott career as a part-time hourly associate in New Jersey in the early 1990s and advanced through regional and global leadership roles, including Vice President of Global Sales, Vice President of Brand Franchising, and Regional Vice President of Revenue Management for the Eastern United States.
His leadership spans several of Marriott’s largest and most global brands, including roles as Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader for Marriott Hotels and Sheraton Hotels, as well as Global Brand Leader for Autograph Collection Hotels and Tribute Portfolio.
Previously, as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer – U.S. & Canada, Mr. Robinson led strategic priorities to drive profitable sales, increase market share, and strengthen competitive advantage across Marriott’s U.S. and Canada portfolio.
Mr. Robinson is active in the hospitality and business communities, serving on the board of a public restaurant company headquartered in California and The Maryland Soccer Foundation, a 501(c)(3). He is also a member of the Executive Leadership Council and The Black Executive CMO Alliance.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, where he was inducted into the African American Alumni Hall of Fame in 2020, and holds an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
