Dr. Maxine Cain, L.H.D., is a nationally recognized STEM influencer, Future of Work & Workforce Innovation Strategist, Ecosystem Architect, and Founder & CEO of Mathis, Griffin, Cain Consulting, LLC, a strategic advisory firm helping organizations navigate disruption and build future-ready workforce systems. She is also Founder & CEO of STEM Atlanta, a nonprofit expanding access to STEM education and career pathways.

Dr. Cain created the Human X-Factor™, a human-centered workforce and leadership framework focused on the capabilities technology cannot replicate, including judgment, creativity, adaptability, emotional intelligence, ethical leadership, strategic thinking, and meaningful connection.

With more than two decades of experience in corporate HR leadership, workforce development, emerging technology education, and national partnerships, Dr. Cain has managed multimillion-dollar HR budgets, led complex change initiatives, and built skills-first talent pathways and workforce ecosystems.

She serves as Advisory Council Chair for the National STEM Honor Society and is a recipient of President Biden’s Lifetime Achievement Award, a U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship Ambassador, and an Outstanding Georgia Citizen Award honoree. A sought-after keynote speaker, she speaks on the future of work, AI and emerging technology, leadership, workforce transformation, and advancing girls, women, and nonbinary people in STEM.
