Daniel K. Shannon is a Public Affairs executive at Wells Fargo, serving as the Head of Enterprise HBCU Strategy and Engagement. He resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he enjoys spending time with his family. He graduated from Howard University with a B.A. in Economics (MCL) and has a dynamic career that spans multiple industries and disciplines.
He has held leadership positions in consumer-packaged goods (Kraft Foods), retail (Target Corp.), technology (Amazon Corp.), and financial services (Thrivent Financial, Wells Fargo), with demonstrated expertise in organizational strategy, B2B sales, marketing, public speaking, and Inclusion & Opportunity.
Daniel’s professional success has been fueled by intellectual curiosity and a bias for action. He’s personally driven by the belief that everyone has inherent value. He finds joy in helping others optimize their unique ability to contribute to the resolution of needs that exist in our everyday lives.
He is committed to serving his community as a volunteer with his local church in North Minneapolis. Daniel was a Wallin Scholar, and is now proud to pay it forward as a board member for Wallin Education Partners. He is an exercise, live music and traveling enthusiast and has a keen interest in behavioral economics.
