Courtney Johnson is an insurance executive, real estate entrepreneur, and frequent speaker with more than two decades of experience building teams, launching business units, and translating strategy into action. As Vice President at Atlanta Life Insurance Company, her responsibilities span operations, procurement, strategic partnerships, and community engagement. She also helps shape LiveBalanced™, the company’s collection of solutions connecting financial protection and well-being.
Her career includes leadership roles at Mutual of Omaha, MetLife, and Prudential. She helped establish new business units at Mutual of Omaha and MetLife and later led a Prudential national accounts portfolio representing approximately $1.5 billion in business and more than 125 clients.
As founder of CoJo LLC and a real estate investor since 2008, Courtney owns and manages residential investment properties across multiple states. She brings this executive and ownership experience to speaking engagements on leadership, workforce well-being, and wealth-building, as well as interviews with authors and prominent figures.
She is a past Board Chair and Treasurer of YWCA Greater Charleston, Vice Chair of Teacher Supply Closet, and a member of The Links, Incorporated. In 2025, she became the first Black woman to receive the Southeastern Chamber of Commerce’s Most Influential Woman of the Year award.
