Sharon Murphy

Meet The Experts: Digital Emerging Trends Changing the Culture, Systems and Capabilities of the Financial Services Industry

Sharon Murphy is CIO of Team Member Technologies within Enterprise Information Technology, which is dedicated to delivering technology solutions for the 250,000+ team members at Wells Fargo. Her organization is comprised of enterprise IT solutions including Team Member Technologies, Human Resources IT and Corporate Properties Technology.

Sharon has over 30 years of technology experience and is very active in technology-based initiatives within Wells Fargo and within the community. Her many efforts includes early-childhood STEM education, judging technology competitions, mentoring and participating in hackathons. She was held the role of Chair for the WF Enterprise IT Diversity Council responsible for developing a D&I strategy for their 24,000+ technology employees.

She has recently been appointed as a Board Member for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF)

Sharon earned a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Hofstra University and currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.
