Negotiating a Job Offer

Paulina Johnson, MBA is a proud native of Gary, Indiana. Overcoming many obstacles as a teen mother, she became the first individual to obtain in three years, a BS Degree in Computer Information Systems from Indiana University Northwest. She subsequently completed a MBA in Marketing Administration in 2002. Paulina has authored two books, “I Am You-Achieving Against All Odds” and “When Success Calls, Achieve Against All Odds.” She is also founder of the non-profit Achieve Against All Odds and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Over the past fifteen years, Paulina has excelled in the Automotive Sales Unit for ArcelorMittal USA, taking on roles with increasing responsibility while managing multi-million dollar accounts for Ford and General Motors. She was selected as the only ArcelorMittal USA employee to serve as a Games Maker at the London 2012 Olympic Games. She is currently the only African American Female Automotive Account Manager serving as the lead for GM Direct business.

She became a member of National Black MBA Association® in 2002 and is currently serving as the 2015-2018 President of the Detroit Chapter.
