PORTLAND CHAPTER HISTORY

Joshua Williams, Portland Chapter President

Led by Chapter President, Joshua Williams and acting upon the operating principles NBMBAA will focus on achieving the following objectives:
Attract, develop and retain members of the highest integrity and competence at all levels of the organization; maximize participation of the membership.
Emphasize professional skills development of the membership via local and national programming.
Develop and maintain strong ties with corporations to garner, retain and expand their support.
Develop a close working partnership with Black businesses and community organizations to implement programs advancing the overall economic development of the Black community.
Increase focus and extend programs to students, encouraging and motivating them towards careers in business.
The Portland-Seattle chapter was formed in 1997 and is one of 7 chapters in the western region. The chapter has grown to over 50 members & continues to grow.
