Breakout Session: Dynamic Leadership – The First 90 Days: Making Your Mark as a New Executive

Lisa Blackshear presently leads crisis, customer, employee, regulatory communications and digital media strategy and operations for Comcast Corporation. In this role, Lisa leads a team of several hundred individuals across the country and is responsible for the company’s social and service messaging strategy to customers and the company’s 80K plus frontline employees. Lisa’s digital media arm is an award-winning team of 24×7, bi-coastal, bi-lingual agents serving customers on line and is one of the largest in the world. She also leads the company’s Regulatory Affairs Operations and Corporate Escalations teams.

Lisa has an extensive global portfolio that expands more than 20 years. In addition to Comcast, she’s held Corporate Communications and other leadership positions with UPS Global, UPS Supply Chain Solutions, UPS Capital, Lane Bryant and Unisys (all headquarters). Lisa is also as a former copywriter at Upscale Magazine, and has a background in broadcast journalism and production from her work at WKXT Channel 8 News (CBS).

Lisa holds an MBA from Drexel University’s Lebow College of Business. She completed executive leadership programs at both Harvard University and Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. Lisa holds a Bachelors in Mass Communications and Broadcast Journalism from Knoxville College and attended the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of Tennessee.
