Liberia Visa Procedure

Visa Information

All participants will need a valid passport and should secure a visa in the Republic of Liberia Consulate for the State of Georgia before arrival their departure city (Atlanta or New York). Evidence of a yellow fever vaccination is also required. Passports should have at least six months validity.

A Tourist Visa is required to enter Liberia. Complete the Liberia visa application form. Incomplete or unsigned visa applications will delay the application process. You must send your physical passport- copies cannot be used for visa issuance.

Your signed passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank visa pages- visas are stamps affixed to the blank “visa” pages of your passport. Amendment pages (clearly marked as such) in the back of your passport are not acceptable for visa issuance. Your passport’s expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan to depart the country you intend to visit. If your passport does not meet this requirement, you must renew your passport or obtain a new one prior to applying for your visa.

Procedure for the Visa is as follows:

Application form must be completed in its entirety. (Tip: You can fill in the form online before printing it.)

– Passport must be valid for at least (6) six months to expiration.

– Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs of the applicant on white background (taken not more than six months prior to application) and showing full face of applicant, without hat, cap and sunglasses.

– Present a photocopy of your round-trip ticket OR travel itinerary.

– Self-addressed prepaid USPS or FedEx only envelope with a tracking number for return of passport .

– Yellow Fever Vaccination: In accordance with international health regulations, all persons entering Liberia are required to have a valid certificate of Immunization against Yellow Fever. Present a copy with your application

 

Visa Fees

Please send along with your application a money order, Bank Draft or Cashiers Check payable to the Liberian Consulate GA

Single Entry Visa (only) – $160.00

Same day Rush is $75 and Next Day Rush is $50.

Important Information about the Visa Process

– There is a waiting period of seven (7) working days for Visa processing. (Same Day Processing of documents is an additional $75.00 and must be submitted in the morning before 12:00 p.m., and please take note that pick-up will be between 2-3 p.m. of the same day), Next Day Processing or less than 5 days is an additional $50.00 per document.

– Applicants are advised to apply within two weeks of their travel date.

– Airlines by regulation, will not allow you to board without a valid visa.

– If you are a Liberian, living in the United States and have become a US citizen, you are required to obtain a valid visa to travel to Liberia

– In accordance with International Health Regulations, all persons entering Liberia are also required to have a Valid Certificate of Immunization (YELLOW BOOK)
