GE – Lloyd Trotter Scholarship

Thanks to the generous donations provided by General Electric (GE) and The Lloyd Trotter Scholarship Fund, National Black MBA Association® (NBMBAA®) offers scholarships to qualified members of NBMBAA. Applicants must be a current member of NBMBAA® and provide a complete application to be considered.

About the School

Lloyd Trotter was one of the key founders of the African American Forum and was the first African American Officer at GE. Despite the demands of his successful career, Lloyd always found time to give back to the community and help minorities in GE by redirecting “people of color so they have a better shot at winning the game.”

The African American Forum was GE’s first affinity network. Over the past 25 years, they have expanded their global network, providing members with growth and development opportunities, and reaching out to local African American communities in areas where GE operates. Through their highly successful Lloyd Trotter Scholarship program, AAF helps make college a reality for many deserving minority students in the U.S. and Africa.
