Where is the 41st Annual NBMBAA® Conference & Exposition taking place?

The 41st Annual NBMBAA® Conference & Exposition taking place at the George R. Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida De Las Americas, Houston, TX 77010 from September 24 – 28, 2019.

Do I have to be a member of NBMBAA® to register?

No, but you must create a profile in our membership system and log in to register. We encourage you to join as you receive the best Conference rate discount if you are a member. Click the Become A Member button.

How do I join to receive a discount right now?

Visit the member page at nbmbaa.org  to complete your membership purchase. After it is complete, please go back to the registration landing page. When you sign back in your membership should be reflected.

My membership should be current, but I’m not seeing the member rate. What do I do?

Log into your membership account and ensure your membership is up to date. If it shows as active and current, ensure that a payment has not failed. If you still believe your membership should be updated and isn’t, contact membership@nbmbaa.org with the details.

 

NOTE: Your membership must be up to date both when you register at during Conference to receive and maintain a member rate. If your membership lapses during the year, you will need to pay any remaining membership fees in order to collect your badge at Conference.

What is the difference between the Standard Pass (Career Expo only), the Premium Pass (Full Conference) and the Platinum Pass (Full Conference and all ticketed events)?

The Standard Pass (Career Expo only), includes access only to the Career Expo, Welcome Reception, corporate hospitality receptions and Meet the Experts sessions.  NEW THIS YEAR: Standard Pass registration also includes access to the Thursday and Friday MBA Live® events.

 

The Premium Pass (Full Conference) includes access to everything from the Standard Pass, plus all regular Conference programming, the Thursday and Friday Keynote Luncheons, Thursday and Friday MBA Live® events, but excludes the NBMBAA® Impact Awards and the Institutes

 

The Premium Plus (Full Conference + Institutes) includes access to everything from the Standard and Premium Passes, plus a one-day (Wednesday, Sept., 25) pre-event Institute. You can choose from the NBMBAA Leadership Institute® or the NBMBAA Entrepreneurial Institute®.

 

The Platinum Pass (Full Conference + all ticketed events) includes access to everything on the all of the other Passes, both MBA Live® sessions and the NBMBAA® Impact Awards.

 

Note that all courses are ticketed separately, with additional cost.

Why are some Conference sessions/events invite-only?

The NBMBAA® provides sessions/events by invitation only to members and or guests that meet certain criteria.

Friday Evening: NBMBAA® Impact Awards: Business or Formal

What are the separately ticketed events and prices?

Do you have a student discount?

This year, we are offering a limited number of student bundles for HBCU students – registration, hotel, breakfast, MBA Live® tickets. This bundle will be available in registration for those using a special code.

 

Regular registration discounts are only offered to members. Students can join and register for member discounts. Non-member students are subject to non-member rates.

How do I secure a hotel room?

Select during registration when prompted or visit the housing portal here.

 

Do I have to be registered to secure a hotel room?

No. You can secure a hotel room via the portal without registering. However, rooms require 1 night room and tax guarantee.

Can I book a hotel room on my own?

Yes, but we encourage you to support NBMBAA®. Also note that the nearest locations and official Conference hotels are only available through our block. Click here to see our list host hotels.

What are the Early Bird Discount dates?

Early Bird: Through June 28, 2019

Regular: June 29-September 23, 2019

On-site Rates: September 24-28, 2019

I want to upgrade my Pass, add tickets or change a session. How do I do that?

To upgrade:

You will need to cancel your existing registration and select a new one. Please call the 41st Annual Conference Registration customer service to upgrade.

To change a session or add tickets, log back into your registration record and add the information. You will be asked to pay for any additional items. Use the link on your confirmation email to access your registration.

I am exhibitor or sponsor. How do I register?

Exhibitor and Sponsor registrations are handled through the Exhibitor or Sponsor dashboards. Please contact your account rep if you are a sponsor (pd@nbmbaa.org).  For exhibitors, contact exhibitor support via blackmba@naylor.com. Note that exhibitors must be paid in full to access their exhibit benefits.
