NBMBAA® President & CEO Health & Safety Message

NBMBAA® 43rd Annual Conference and Career Exposition: Committed to Putting on a Safer Experience

Health and Safety – Partnering with CLEAR Health Pass

At NBMBAA® we believe in the importance of face-to-face connection, interviewing, and networking. As we lead the way in bringing our members, stakeholders, and partners together, our top priority is to ensure the health and safety of those who choose to attend our event.

As guidance has evolved, so have our protocols. As part of the entry requirements for the National Black MBA Association conference, all attendees must complete a health survey and provide proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test to enter.

  • The National Black MBA Association has partnered with CLEAR Health Pass, to provide easy proof of COVID-related health insights. Complete your Health Pass before arriving for a seamless experience! To get started, download the CLEAR app and enroll for free here.
  • For the most efficient experience possible, all attendees should sign up for CLEAR and complete their health survey and their COVID-19 proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test before arriving.
  • Trust and transparency are CLEAR’s top priority, and with Health Pass, users are always in control of their health information. Personal information is only used to deliver a frictionless and secure experience with CLEAR and the National Black MBA Association. You can read more details about this in CLEAR’s Privacy Policy here.
    • If you have any questions about enrolling in CLEAR, please reach out to memberservices@clearme.com or tap “Get In Touch” in the app for assistance.
  • Full instructions on how to complete your Health Pass see below:

  • Download the CLEAR app and tap the white Health Pass tile
  • Select ‘Have a code’ and enter the code NBMBAA or go to the ‘Events’ tile and scroll down to the ‘Conferences’ section and select “National Black MBA Association”
  • Easily enroll or verify your identity with a quick selfie
  • Follow the prompts to select your screening type. Complete your proof of vaccination or link your negative COVID-19 test result and complete a health survey.
  • Before you arrive, reopen the Health Pass tile and produce your pass. Be ready to show upon arrival.

Note that you will need to complete a health questionnaire daily on-site to generate that day’s Health Pass.

Get Ready to Attend

If you are making plans to attend the Annual Conference and Exposition, make sure you’re ready by completing your CLEAR Health Pass sign-up. Instructions above.

If you are not fully vaccinated and require a negative test plan now for where you’ll get tested and what day prior to travel. You must have a negative test within a 72-hour window of your first day of attendance. So if you’re checking into Conference on Wednesday morning, September 15, you’ll need a test result later than Sunday morning, September 12.

On-Site Protocols – What You Should Know

  • We will require the use of face masks indoors during the Annual Conference & Career Expo. On-site personnel will ensure masks are worn properly over the nose and mouth.
  • Social distancing will be in effect. There are no current state mandates, but we’ll prioritize distancing at 3 feet for most events.
  • We will encourage frequent hand washing, sanitizing, and distancing. We will provide on-site sanitizing stations in high-touch areas.
  • Attendees will be required to answer health screening questions to generate their Health Pass. This will need to be done each day of the event for entry.
  • On-site signage will provide reminders for physical distancing throughout meeting and event spaces and highlight health and safety rules.
