The National Black MBA Association’s goal is to build a solid pipeline of support through which young people and our members can travel from the classroom to the boardroom. The organization provides more than $500,000 dollars annually in scholarships to undergraduates, graduates and doctoral students pursuing careers in business. The program's mission is to identify and increase the pool of Black talent for business, public, private and non-profit sectors.

Undergraduate Scholarship Program
The NBMBAA National Undergraduate Scholarship Program disburses $1,000 to undergraduate minority business candidates identified through our local chapters. Recipients are selected based upon their written response to an essay topic, level of extra-curricular activity and community involvement, grade point average and interview score.  Awardees are honored in the conference edition of the Black MBA Magazine.  To participate in our undergraduate scholarship program, please click here to locate a chapter near you.  Application deadlines vary by chapter.

Collegiate Chapter Scholarship Program
The NBMBAA® Collegiate Chapter Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students who are members of our Collegiate Chapters.  Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, exceptional leadership potential and be actively involved in their local communities through service to others.

MBA Scholarship Program
The NBMBAA National MBA Scholarship Program awards scholarships to the top applicants identified through our annual essay competition. Recipients are selected based upon their written response to an essay topic, most recent grade point average, verbal communication skills, and level of extra-curricular activities and community involvement.

PhD Fellowship Program
The NBMBAA National PhD Fellowship Program awards two fellowships annually to qualified individuals identified through our application process. Recipients are selected based upon their written response to a research topic, most recent grade point average, verbal communication skills, and level of extra-curricular activities and community involvement. The fellowship package includes monetary awards, travel, accommodations and registration to our annual Conference.  The fellowship amounts range from $5,000 to 15,000.
